Pentecost

We have put together some ways to celebrate Pentecost together at home or at church below:

Invite everyone to wear red
Decorate your home with the symbols of Pentecost: tongues of fire or doves. Use banners and pennants
Invite family members to share the gifts God has given them and how they use them for ministry and spreading God’s word
Read the readings from Acts 2:1-21
Have a special ‘birthday morning tea’ after your worship service to celebrate the birthday of the church.
Birthday cake - you could use candles that never blow out - you could talk about how the church will also never be extinguished
Sing Happy Birthday to the church
Include party food such as red, orange and yellow fruit platter or red jelly cakes
