Children's Ministry
Children, youth and families are a precious part of our church family. They are always welcome in every worship service at St Paul. In fact we even have a special area for them and their parents at the back of the church - our Play 'n' Pray space. Here young children and their parents can sit together and worship with a bit more space and some extra bits and pieces to help with worship - books, toys, and streamers.
Groups and activities for children and families include Playgroup@St Paul and Godly Play and for youths activities include SPY and Senior Youth. First Communion and Confirmation instruction occur when needed to support the faith journeys of our young people. Our Family Resource page also has some great ideas to help households to grow in their faith.

Professional Standards - Safe Church
All people involved in ministry to children and in Leadership at St Paul are required to have Safe Church Training to Team Member Level and have a current Working With Children Check(WWCC).
Please assist us in this mission by considering undergoing this training to make our church as welcoming as possible for children and families.
More information about this training is available at :

St Paul Lutheran Church is also part of the LCA pilot of the Child Safe Congregations 2021/2022. As such we have created a trial Child Safety Plan and are trialling the ongoing implementation and review of our church operations and commitment to Child Safety.

The LCA Statement of Commitment to Child Safety
The Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) is committed to providing a safe church environment for children and young people. The LCA acknowledges that children are a precious gift from God, with special vulnerabilities, that they require nourishment and nurture in their spiritual development and that they are to be protected from all forms of abuse. The LCA also affirms that it has no tolerance for child abuse and that all its people have an important responsibility to care for children and to keep them safe. The way we care for children reflects our genuineness of faith. It is also a reflection of God’s love and his divine protection.
