Summary: In an nutshell, this ancient Psalm written about 1000BC is saying that the whole world praises the Lord, the whole world being the vast 'web of interconnected life' that includes humans, animals, insects, etc. As participants we need to care for this world and most importantly we need to care for each other - as commanded by Jesus when he said we need to love one another and by this be known as his followers.

Summary: The book of Revelation is a challenging book of the Bible to interpret, as it is full of symbolism. In this account of a dream or vision of St John we hear of the 'great ordeal'. This refers not to something that is to occur in the future, but to our present lives, where we struggle with many difficulties. The Easter message of what Jesus has done for us provides us with a strong message of reassurance and hope, knowing that God understands our situation and walks beside us.
